Gearbox wear?
In F1 2019 I could easily make the 6 races with a single gearbox. Now, after 2 races I had over 80% wear on the gearbox, and I already had to change it. I am using a default setup and shifting normally. What could cause this?

3rd gearbox already on 10th of 16 races

its all about upgrades and how you shift

literally cant make it 20 laps in an F2 race without the gear box being completely worn

Durability upgrades are different this year so if you don't upgrade the gearbox then it will die on you a lot quicker.

80% after two races is very high. After my first one I'm at 20% so that one isn't going to last the full 6 events either. It really sucks that there only seems to be one gearbox wear upgrade, for now at least. Fortunately it got completed this race.
For a GP you have 2 gearboxes.
1. Practice gearbox for P1 and P2
2. Event gearbox for P3, Q and Race.

So if you do all your practices in P1 and P2 and don't race in P3 you can already save some wear. Also a practice gearbox is free to change.

And search on internet what the wear can cause. So you will learn to drive better and get less wear on the gearbox.

Same issue i have to change my gearbox every 2 gp for no reason at all, never happen in f1 2019 i dont understand at all

my first gearbox was at 50% wear after Australia 50% race, guess you can no longer sit in 7th for turn 1 and 3.

38% after 5 races, you guys must be ragging your gearbox like no tomorrow

All you people experiencing too much wear, can you tell me if you are on a shorter season? Everyone i see with that problem are on shorter season

I'm at 34% after 4 100% races. I assume all the problems are for those who do shorter races? I remember this bug in previous games.

im at 44 and I haven't raced bahrein yet, races at 50% and this is the first it happens to me even tho i have upgraded my gearbox. If it was because idk how to shift, i'd had problems with other f1 game but it's not the case

I have the same problem. I drive 16 tracks season, 50% races and my Gearbox is at 40% after one race every time, with 1st durability upgrade for hte gearbox (which feels like it didnt change anything)

I have same issue. I think its F1 traditional BUG

I have the full season, doing 50% races. I have no idea what caused it, but my 2nd gearbox wears normally. First gearbox 80% after two races, now I get ~10% wear on it per race weekend, although I changed nothing about my driving style.

It seems to me like it is related to Flashbacks. If you use a lot of flashbacks the Gearbox wears out noramlly. I am doing a race now trying to use as few as possible (so far 3) and my gearbox wears out normally. 15% after 50% race with 1 durability upgrade. Can anyone confirm this?
It was a new gearbox so. The one before I did 1 race with lots of flashbacks (due to corner cutting rule strict) and 1 with less. The one with less was as before but with the new gearbox it now changed. For me it seems like lots of flachbacks bug out the gearbox usage
