Just out of curiosity is this game gonna be accurate in terms of appliances, etc.
Like could i theoretically use this game to learn, then plan a job (as a complete novice) and not have it kill me in real life?:praisesun:

Hello. We aim to make a pretty accurate and complex game, but we still plan to make a game, not a learning program and as one it has to be first and foremost fun to play.

We strongly disadvise to use it to learn the craft as it needs some serious education and preparation to handle electrical devices (And the appropriate permissions)

However, we are pretty sure you will be able to learn some basic behaviours, tips and general mindset useful for the job and encounter similar to real-life puzzle situation :)

I know, seems like a wasted opportunity. Why not make an almost real life accurate training simulator game, I mean they are already half way there

Real-life training simulator would probably cost few times more (and the game would cost insane amount of money), would be unfun to play, for like most players and still it wouldn't give you really practice. Do you think that in one of the jobs that is always needed, where you are paid really really nice, where you need a lot of practice, knowledge, determination and so on... you could just play the game and know it all?

If there would be this kind of "game" then everyone would just play it and no one would need to hire an electrician :) This is more of a simulator that gives you the basic knowledge, gives fun, relaxes you, and if you see that you like not only the clicking/playing but it engages you, this is a time when you should take a good book, go study or pay for the good course (not only online one).

The point here is that the game can push some people a little further, as it is always hard to start. Like "I want to be a mechanic, builder, electrician, and so on... but how to start". You buy a book... and got bored/not determined enough to go through the first hard parts where you are totally a newbie.

For a real electrician, it would not matter how realistic it is. It won't learn anything, and it would be boring as it would be just the same thing as his job (common after 8h+ of work, coming back tired home and see/play the work again on PC? :))

If you remember the times of "true" simulators in the early 90"s. They were not much fun to most players. That's why no one has ever done a true simulator of a job, and it will probably never be done as only AAA companies would have enough budget for that, and they won't do it as they will never find millions of players interested in that.

After playing the game I think it is the golden mean between realism and casual gameplay. Some will say it's too easy/casual, and others will say it's too hard.

I think also the work regulations change quite often, which would mean constant updates. Despite that though I wish there was such a game. Be nice to play an accurate task applying the knowledge you’ve e acquired.

To be honest , I d probably learn more from a simulator than I would some old fart in the real world.
