Call of War - an updated War Inc Battlezone?

I just came across this game Call of War today and downloaded it.

It's like a 5Gig download, but it would seem they give you 4 days to try out practically all the weapons for free. The GC prices actually appear somewhat cheaper than War Inc, and it has a similar daily sign in GC bonus...but they offer more free GC.

It seems to have been made from the same or similar source as War Inc, but has been updated as recently as Dec2014.

Has anyone else tried this out?

I tried it like many legendary warinc players, its a "pirated" version of warinc, dunnno if its legal but its fun to play, a bit dead...

Remember that War inc was already a clone of a failed game, the original project was abandoned and fell in the public domain as abandonware, anyone can use it, the game itself had tremendous potential, but it was ran by a bunch of headless chicken and an oversized head admin who loved chicken so much he became one.

Just out of curiosity, what's the name of the failed game that fell into public domain as abandonware? I'd be interested in taking a look at it.

In testing out Call of War for a couple days, it definitely runs MUCH better on my PC compared to War Inc. It seems to have been optimized more, as COW runs a constant 200+ fps on my i5 desktop, and 90+ on my much older i7 laptop. It also has more maps, more weapons, more attachments, and prone. Only thing it seems to be lacking, is a player base. Which is confusing to me.


I don't know what is causing it, but War Inc freezes and stutters during game play. It doesn't matter if I'm using the low or ultra presets, v-sync enabled or disabled. It does it on both my desktop and laptop. I've tried the Steam and non steam versions.

I have an i5 4690k and GTX 760 with 16G of ram on Windows 7 Ult 64 bit. This rig should run the game just fine, but it doesn't.

I tried to download COW about a year back but the launcher just wouldnt update - and wanted to ask about this in the forums but it wouldnt let me register....so here I am back with War Inc revisiting nostalgia :)
Does COW have 'Citadel'?
