How do you recruit additional survivors?

Eh? I seem to be missing something...As I can't seem to get beyond the first few days as I have no survivors to either help forage or fight zombies. On my own I can not forage enough each day to keep up with the repair of the wall...

not really your fault... the UI (including the tutorial) is not very clear.

you start the day at 07:00 and you have to manually click the scavenge spots to get the timer to move. a 5h spot moves it to 12:00, and another one would move it to 17:00. when you reach 22:00 you can't do any more.

in other words, you get 3 slots of 5h scavenge clicks per day.

after 22:00, you get a daily reward if you have a Forage upgrade. you may have to close a scavenge window to see the summary. if you're lucky, you could find a scavenger at the end of day, and u get an option to rescue the scavenger or kill him/her.

you can repair/restock during any time - those don't use any slots. however, building something takes up a 5h slot, including making a new weapon.
