Will this teach me things for my bike?
I have an 03 Honda Shadow I got last year. Absolutely in love with riding but know little to nothing about working on it apart from switching the battery. Does this game make things realistic or is it more of a casual and dumbed down sim? It'd be useful since mine is down atm. It's a stater and/or rectifier problem. I narrowed it down to that so I'm slowly learning.

you can search the maintenance manual for your bike, I think that will be more helpful.

It'll help you understand a general "concept" in the sense of how things come together, but i assure you its not even close to the real thing.... not enough snapped bolts and profanities :P

Buy a Haynes manual for your bike, they're invaluable. I've been riding many years and I buy a manual before I even buy the bike. That way, when looking at bikes to buy you know exactly what you're looking at. Have fun, ride safe.

While games like this are fun, its not really any good for learning anything more than principles.

From what I can see, the parts in the game are not the same as the parts in real life. Some of the engines, for example, are designed in a way that would not even function in real life.

Does this game deal with electric or is it just combustion?

What you do there is hook that onagraher up to the pin wheel stick pinion, and add two 3 caliber dale rods to the back end rotary shaft, and that'll increase your torque to 3 decibels and off load the junction spin. Sniff. Yep! Ahhh... that'll do her.

Games like this are good for teaching people what a brake caliper is and what it looks like, not how to actually remove and install one. There are a lot of processes that are omitted. You're trusting your life and the life of your passenger, if any, to the way this machine works. Know what you're doing and have the right tools first or find someone that does.

Honestly, unless you're dirtbiker/trailrider like me, the best thing you can do is bring the bike to the shop when you need work done to it. You will learn the general ideas of how it works but tearing an engine apart or tearing parts down, it's a different ball game. Especially in a 4 stroke engine. If you really want to learn how to do things yourself, buy a blown up motorcycle for cheap and try to fix it. If you're coming here asking if this game will teach you how to work on your actual motorcycle, I would advise you learn on a bike that you don't have a lot of money invested in. That's how I learned. Bought an old RMZ 450 and rebuilt the top and bottom end. Then I discovered how powerful a 450 was and sold it before I killed myself. Long story short, the best way you're going to learn is hands on.

Also, I haven't played this game at all yet so IDK how realistic it actually is. I'm kinda going off the experience I had playing CMS18/21

fr like to tahe the engine head off you need to pull the valves first since when in the ♥♥♥♥ do you need to remove the intake and exhaust valves before pulling off the cylinder head?? and since when does the cylinder head only have 3 bolts this game is pure ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
