Dynamite. Valiant hasn't had the rights to publish Turok or the other Gold Key characters since Acclaim went bankrupt in 2004. Valiant Entertainment, a new company started up by fans, bought back the original Valiant characters from Acclaim in an auction in 2005, but the rights to Turok, Magnus, and Solar reverted to Classic Media, who owned Gold Key.
As far as I know Classic Media owned the rights for Turok from then until 2012, when they were bought by Dreamworks Pictures, a subsidiary of Universal.
Ah, that’s what I meant! Dynamite. I should know since I own most of the comics. And thanks a ton for clearing up the history...doesn’t make me any more hopeful for a AAA Turok game, since Dreamwoks hasn’t made a proper game ever, basically, but at least I know the situation. Looks like it’s up to an indie studio to pitch a game to Universal...
