Cricket Captain 2019 not starting

Cricket Captain 2019 wont start after installation - any ideas how to solve this issue?

Hi,

This is likely to be caused by your system missing some Windows Update that are needed to support newer versions of Visual Studio.

Can you please go to Windows Update and check for updates and install any pending updates.

Windows was up to date, still didn't work.
Game worked straight after purchasing, windows did an up date overnight then the game stopped working. I have removed update but game is still not working.
Any suggestions as at the moment I have wasted my money for a game that doesn't work.

1) What update was installed?

2) Right click on Cricket Captain 2019 in Steam Library and select Properties
Go to Local Files, then select Verify Integrity of Game Cache.

I've experienced similar problems just today after the latest Windows update.

I purchased the game less than a week ago and it was working fine. Up until today after the Windows update.

After reading this thread I:

1) Right clicked on Cricket Captain 2019 in Steam Library and selected Properties
I went to Local Files, then selected Verify Integrity of Game Cache and they said that files were all validated
2) Re-installed the game
3) Uninstalled the Windows update (as at 9 Aug 2019)

Still not working...

I click on 'play' and it begins to load and says 'running' and then these words disappear and nothing happens!

Any help here would be great.

Okay, thanks for the information. We've had some others with similar problems from the last Windows Update.

Can you confirm you are on Windows 10?

Okay, can't see any obvious issues caused by that update, can you please send me a message through the support form below and I will get some machine diagnosis from you, as fixing it blind will take forever!

For some reason it seems some recent Windows Updates are affecting Visual C++ redistrutable packages.

Press Windows key and R at the same time on your keyboard
Type "appwiz.cpl" (without the quotes) in the box and press enter
Sort by Name
Find any Microsoft Visual C++ Redist packages for 2015 AND 2017, right click on the package and select Change, then Repair.
