Collection is coming, and it doesn't include 6 for a very good reason. It's just a bad game and a horrible way to end 2D generation of SS.
Don't be quick to believe everyone. Just try it on a PS2, PS3, PS4 or even PCSX2 and draw your own conclusions.
It had huge rooster of every character (excluding NG64 cast) and then some aaaand then some more joke characters, and then some more hidden characters. It has alot of content. It has grooves and all the stuff. Nes systems new moves.
BBBBBBBBBBBUUUUUUUUUUUUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
NO BLOOD, dismemberment gone.
ARENAS, VOICEOVERS and music was just bad.
New engine and changes to gameplay made game feel NOT like Samsho (less damage, almost no chip damage, weird backstabs, et c.)
WHY DO WE NEED like 7 grooves?
Balance was worse.
Oh look random items is back! Eeeeeveryone was asking that.
Its like you see a dream of your life and it suddenly turns into nightmare.
Huge roster doesn't mean anything, when it's polluted by the characters that don't belong to the game, neither aesthetically nor thematically.
It felt like a kid's first mugen assembly.
Take SS5SP for example, corner an opponent, conect a sweep and immediately jump forward and you'll see an invisible force push you back. Also, on every other SS you have disappearing sprites, broken sprites, sometimes unresponsive commands, stops during slowdowns and many other classic "mugen" bugs. I love those games, but I'm fair, not blind.
SS6 is balanced, except for Kim Ung Che, that is a half made character. True that 3 hits won't kill an opponent, but 4 will. Also, the arrange voices are awesome (Genjuro never sounded better, without that annoying teenager voice change).
Nostalgic people tend to praise the defects of old things and deny the improvements of new ones. Gore doesn't compensate for everything.
Just take my advice. Test the game, play with friends and decide for yourself. If it's a fun gameplay you want, you won't be disappointed. You may love it or hate it, but at least it's your judgement.
Srsly. Nobody thinks that. Literally anyone I ever asked in FGC thinks SS6 was subpar. Some defend it for things it has done good but no one so adamantly defending it as you.
Also please at least be truthful. When I played SS with people who actually compete everyone said that tiers in SS6 has huge gaps. And if it sounds anecdotal consider this: SS6 has more characters and modes but was tested less than SSVSP. So please don't just lie about SS6.
I would like to see SS6 rebuilded to be real definitive 2D SamSho game. But its too late for that. SS6 was never good, and now we have 3D SS game which will pick up the series.
"but was tested less than SSVSP" precisely the reason of the said gaps. FGC revers SSII even for its sprites, which are horrible in comparison with III, IV, V or VI. Many players talk BS about games where they're basically amateurs and didn't spend any time on, just disliked at first glance. No fair judgement, just nostalgy.
To prove such BS happens all the time, this is a tournament in 2016 (I guess 10 years are exploit enough, eh? Or maybe nobody knew how to play fighting games in 2016...).

Now, let's see... Intense battle, impossible to reach with the old NG engine? Check.
Bugs, breaks and imbalance everywhere... I guess not. So sorry.
I'll repeat ATHANH. Play the game, don't believe others right away.
