The price is high
First, I really appreciate the amount of work the developers put in their games, but as a player, when buying a new game, I compare the price with other similar games, and that usually plays a role in my buying decisions.
Roguebook and Loop Hero are the most games I liked in this Steam festival, but the price gap is big, also with other rouglikes games.
Sadly, The price of Roguebook will keep me away from this game unless a serious future discount is offered.
Anyway, I really wish all the best for the developers, Roguebook looks a very well polished game and I hope a successful launch for the game.

Price is the same as Slay the Spire and Monster Train, and the quality of the game seems to match up to both of them.

Roguebook costs much more than Slay the Spire and Monster Train for me.

I would buy it at a discount, yes.

The price is double as Slay the Spire. It target at a wrong market range.

In USA they're all the same price. Must be a regional thing.

sts costs 40 undiscounted. has seen %50 discount before
this one 153
:(
Yeah. They should've looked on other games' prices based on regions / countries. I live in Brazil and here the demo wasn't even available until 3 or 4 days ago. Slay the Spire costs less than half as much (with NO discounts). Not only that but it's actually almost the same price as some AAA games. Sadly I'll have to wait for discounts before buying it.

The developers/ publishers should take a look at Valve's suggested regional pricing and update their pricing. Am from India and this game's potential competitors, for instance, Slay the Spire and Monster Train are both INR 569, while this game's standard edition is INR 1749 (more than 3 times the cost of Monster Train and Slay the Spire!!). Frankly a bit ridiculous.

Given Steam is a global store, the publishers would do well to consider the fact that regional pricing makes sense and is available as an option to publishers for a reason-if they dont rectify this, this game will probably see no sales in regions like Russia, Brazil, India, etc.

Yeah. I've got many friends in my Discord server who like Card games and most of them have Monster Train and Slay the Spire.
I've shared the Pre-Order Trailer with them and they loved it but almost everyone said that the price was kinda insane and that they would wait for discounts / steam sales before buying.
It's kinda sad because many people in my country (including myself) that really likes this type of game would probably like to pre-order to give an incentive for the developers to keep the good work.

From a UK perspective here are the prices of some of the top deckbuilding roguelikes...

£22.49
Steamworld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech

£19.49
Monster Train
Roguebook
Slay The Spire

£15.49
Banners of Ruin
Deck of Ashes
Deep Sky Derelicts
Gordian Quest
Griftlands
Neoverse
Pirates Outlaws

£7.19
Knock on the Coffin Lid

With the production values that have gone into this game and the names of some of the people behind it, it seems that from this price-list it's fairly well-priced in comparison to its competitors. That's only from a UK standpoint though.

INR 2329
Roguebook Deluxe Edition

INR 1749
Roguebook

INR 600
Neoverse Base Edition

INR 569
Steamworld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech
Monster Train
Slay the Spire

INR 529
Banners of Ruin
Deck of Ashes
Deep Sky Derelicts
Gordian Quest
Griftlands
Pirates Outlaws

INR 349
Knock on the Coffin Lid

While I appreciate the production values that have gone into this game and the illustrious names behind it, it seems that from this price-list, that the pricing for this game (in India at least, and going by the comments, in some other regions like Brazil as well) is fairly bonkers in comparison to its competitors. That's only from an India standpoint though-hence the request to the developers/publishers to be mindful of regional pricing considerations while setting the price on Steam, rather than having a 'one size fits all' approach, when it comes to pricing! Cheerio!

In my region (Turkey) it's 4x more expensive than slay the spire and monster train . Even with %75 discount it's very expensive for me . I really wanna try this one but it seems impossible right now .

I tried pointing that out to devs.
This regional pricings are stupid.
Hope they can change it for the better

Euro price is higher than for StS and MT. So no thanks.

And sorry, but about"names of people behind it", folks like to forget besides MtG the dear Mr. Garfield made some pretty bad games as well. His latest creation in this area, Artifact, just became f2p and will no longer be supported. I believe it also sold for £20-ish at release?
