Pre-Order Demo Upgrade Issues and Temporary Solution
Hello!

We are aware of the issue involving some early Pre-orders not properly transferring to the release version of the game.

We apologize for these issues, and regret that some players who pre-ordered ended up waiting hours after release to play the game.

We have been working all day with Valve to resolve issues with players who have this Pre-Order problem.

As a temporary solution, we have uploaded the full release build of the game on to the "Roguebook Pre-Order Demo" entry in your Steam library. That means if you update and start that app you will be playing the same game as everyone else, as you so deserve.

We of course will continue working on solving the REAL problem, which is that the pre-orders did not automatically transfer into the release version and properly create a new entry in your Steam library, called Roguebook. Again, we are working hand-in-hand with Valve to get this resolved as soon as possible.

To play the game using this temporary solution, simply start up the Pre-Order Demo again. It should have automatically updated, but in case it didn't go ahead and "Verify the integrity" of the game files for that entry in your Steam library.

One thing to note about the save files:

The Steam cloud save functionality should allow you to continue your run in the new Roguebook game entry you will soon be receiving. We have done some initial testing and this seems to be working fine.

HOWEVER, we advise caution when continuing runs between the two different apps, should you choose to play the Pre-Order Demo.

To backup your Save MANUALLY at any time:

Go to:

C:\Users\...\AppData\LocalLow\Abrakam Entertainment SA\

You will see:

\Roguebook - Pre-Order Demo\

or

\Roguebook\

Simply COPY everything in the \Saves\ folder of the relevant app, and save it elsewhere on your computer. If you run into any problems, you can always manually drag it back in to restore your save fully.

We hope that we are able to resolve this issue with Valve soon, and again apologize for any extra trouble this may have caused you.

Remember, instead of using this temporary solution, you can always just choose to wait a bit longer until we have completed the proper resolution.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
