Also having a hard encounter that costs you alot of health ... doesnt mean the run is dead .... hell i had 14 and 26 health left on my heros and still beat the boss in that chapter after having some bad luck. Your first run will mostlikely be not that successful but i personaly beat it the second run and then the game just realy opened up.
Stick with it ... you will not regret it <3
even the "good" block card give 10, you still need 20+ block the same turn, so unless you specificly got 3-4 card that does the same
so I know what I am talking about.
there no strategy to have against a monster dealing 25+ dmg every turn, no matter how good your pick were, because it nearly impossible to have 20+ blocks every turn for several turns.
It's just not enjoyable and the devs have been made aware of this quite a lot. Good for you if all you play is deck builders and you have the patience to brick runs until you get an intuitive understanding of this game's brand of jank, but that's not most people.
Talk about reel back the ego. Sheesh! Pot calling the kettle black here.
If the game is hard - say what you find hard and maybe someone can help
If the game is easy - share your pro-tips!
EDIT: Deleted some posts. Bans will be next.
EDIT2: Bans were indeed, next.
Sorry Nacon - posted at the same time as your response.
For what it's worth, as someone who has played similar games before but is no expert I found the difficulty well balanced so far.
Based on only one game, I had the impression that chapter 1 and 2 bosses were less dangerous than in the demo. I had very low HP when challenging them but it went well. For chapter 3 I was convinced I had a pretty good deck and challenged the boss with full health only to get completely destroyed in no time so I still have much to learn.
Fun game so far!
1. I'd argue that beating bosses/collecting pages and gaining experience is not "losing very often" but that's my unique taste with these kind of games (I understand that other players might see that differently).
2. (and this one I'm sure on) The game is based around a modifier system after your first complete run so saying that you will not lose again (even after completing the skilltree) is absurd. I've only seen the first list of modifiers so far but they already pack a huge punch (in unique ways tho).
