Its good and bad at the same time. Good that you can get some "open" source maps. But they aren't as open as you think. And the process is not for the faint of heart. Considering there are more than a few players of CMO who don't know what a folder is, not sure if this is a viable solution. Then throw in the file sizes and bandwidth needed to make it a solution only in theory for most. Especially considering you can still use a bunch of default maps.
From what i gather the Issue with this is its not the whole world map its only "bits" of the map that you export to CMO.... I think AND you have to login as well
If you guys are fair and honest , you should stop selling the game in the meantime while you search for a solution.
It would be great if you guys took this as an opportunity to allow users to keep whole maps, or regions cached. I know for me it can get very game breaking when I'm dealing with small distances and the map suddenly needs to download the road level map.
