tiles in map saying "this basemap tiles will no longer be available..."

As per title, I've just reinstalled the game after the last update (1828.10) and now I am getting strange messages in certain map tiles saying 'These basemap tiles will no longer be available as of october 31, 2023. The site administrator can upgrade to the new map at stamen.com/faq'.

Is anyone else having this issue with the game?

Deselecting View -> Placenames fixes this issue for now.

No need for the snark, patch notes weren't posted here, and I never would have thought to deselect "placenames" to fix something that says map tiles can't be displayed.

Where can i find the Patch notes 1328.10?
They have not been published on Steam.

Would like them to update them here, too. They're apparently also in a PDF somewhere in the game directory (never would have thought to look there).

Hopefully they can find an affordable/free fix for the issue. It's unfortunate, but understandable, that the service they were using for free started charging. I get that they can't randomly change options in everyone's game. I think it's mostly just location names right now, though I honestly don't know what else was on the Stamen map layers. When I found the images in my HD, it looks like it's just mostly location names. I can live without that, to be honest, though I'd rather have them, it's not that big of a deal.

Which brings back my deepest reservations about them using online only maps.

They don't use online only maps. The default map has always been BMNG and is stored locally.

I still have the map mode in my game LOL i am scared to select any other map modes because i don't want to lose the Stamen map mode it was the best, and the road layer was awesome i think they were the only 2 map modes i used
