Me too.
For future buyers: order direct from Matrix, I understand the developers make more money this way than through Steam transactions. And Matrix gives you a free Steam key.
Anyway, like many players coming off the old Harpoon days, this game has come so far as to completely obliterate my expectations.
After 40 years of digital wargaming, it is the *only* game in the thousand or so I've played that illustrates the progress the genre should have made after all these years.
War in the East II or LnL TD or even the new and excellent Second Front - I don't think so. Flashpoint Campaigns: Southern Storm is a contender, though.
This is the game I want to show off to my non-wargaming friends as to why I am still in the hobby. Now, I don't understand most of it, but I guess that's part of the attraction. Best wishes to all!
@Jena - the manual has been updated and we are waiting for it to come back from layout. It should be finalised for the next patch.
@falken and Sgt Steiner - for the install speeds, it's mainly due to the sheer amount of files in the WW folder. Within that folder houses the majority of the small files that add the various map elements and layers! It's something like 150,000 files!!! With those now installed, future patches will not take long! I personally can vouch for speeds as it was installed on a NVME m2, SSD and HDD during Beta and testing (The HDD you can imagine wasn't setting any 100m sprint records!)
@Smilingdodger - if you continue to have issues could you reach out to our support team @support@matrixgames.com. If you could provide any logs and additional system information we would really appreciate it! Hopefully we can get it fixed for you.
Sgt.Steiner, "Now, I don't understand most of it, but I guess that's part of the attraction".... you are not alone, me too!
Could you contact our support team at the email above with logs and any additional information you could provide about the issue? We hope to get it fixed for you.
The Steam library is not located on the c drive. I will make more observations and write to support. Where can I get game logs?
Usually something like this -> D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Command - Modern Operations\Logs
thx for the infos...
