CMO vs Command PE
Is there any particular reason to not allow CMO have the AAR functionality?
"A key difference is that PE also supports after-action mode (ie. exporting sim state to a text file and then playing it back in Tacview), whereas CMO supports only real-time streaming."

Instead of rushing the implementation of fog of war in Tacview, maybe the 3D view could be of much more use with the AAR mode?

I'm also very interested in this part:
"Modeling & Simulation, both as a standalone tool and integrated into existing M&S environments"
First time I heard about interoperability was after the release of VBS1, with Steel Beasts Pro expecting to handle the armored warfare part. Not sure if there is anything secret about DIS/HAL, but I was wondering since then if we could have a similar functionality for our civilian desktop versions. Specifically, I'm interested in CMO/DCS integration (and both already integrate with Tacview quite well anyway). DCS is slowly but surely expanding into the naval domain finally, so have you ever thought about combining these two sims?

I tried playing back the recordings, but as long as the frame changes, the Tacview window dies. You can always summon it back afterwards, but only to assess the situation at one particular point in time, which is nice, but not great. The recording feature seems to be hard on the HDD too, creating large files... And I don't think it would be much wiser to install CMO on the SSD either if you are planning to use that (not to mention tiles and DB info loading).
Could have been nice if you could point out different paths for all of that.
