Measuring Distance.
Potentially Dumb Question. After having a Pilot Shot Down I was looking for a tool to measure the distance from the ship to the pilot to see if my helicopter could perform a Search And Rescue Mission. Besides the scale on the bottom of the map is there a tool where you can get something a little more precise between two points.

CTRL+D will activate the Range / Bearing Tool to mesure distances. You will also find it under the "View" menu.

Also, if you select a unit and move the mouse cursor away, the information overlay describing the terrain will tell you how far from the selected object you are. I find this easier than using the Range tool when I want to know the distance to/from a specific object.

The Distance Tool is also available in the right-click context menu (unit selected), for those of us who play with a coffee mug in one hand. Double-left-click closes it.
