Map loading speed is all over the place for me.
You can download the tiles at a lower resolution (right now the link to download them all isn't working though).
If there is an improvement in this area I may revisit it in future. I hope the devs take this issue seriously, as I'm sure during their beta testing the low loads made it all appear ok. Now that more people are hitting the servers for real, the issues are becoming more apparent.
Like I say, the caching also seems to be making no difference.
No.
The sentinal map should be downloadable even if it's 500gb or more, put it on a SSD and it should load almost instant.
Or download different zoomlevels, for example level 1 and 2 and if you need lvl 3 and up then use the download on command.
At least it should be an option for those who want it.
The new map is a big sellingpoint for the game but it's not well implemented IMO.
If you like it the way it is then good for you.
Some people like driving oldtimers but most of us want new cars.
At the very least the game should use a mainlayer from sentinal.
As it is now when you zoom out, you see the old map with bits and pieces from sentinel, this is unacceptable IMO.
