Do You update The Database ? and When ?
I have seen in the Database that some countries Don't have any Aircraft or ships and submarines , they are mostly African or Asian countries , like for example tunisia Doesn't Have any aircraft although they do have F-5 tiger and A few transports , trainer aircraft and helicopters . they also do have a few patrol boats and a few LCAC's .

Another country i found is belarus They don't have any aircraft in the database , and they do have Su-25 , Su30 and MiG-29 Fighter Aircraft .

from these two examples i am wondering does the database updates on the info it has ?? and if it does when ??

Hi Celicaas,

You are correct, CMO does not have entries for every possible country. Initially, when CMANO/CMO was released the database included most major countries with units appropriate for each. As time progressed more countries were added from user requests and many were there as placeholders. When added they may or may not have had units associated with them. Typically units would be added as users requested them.

If you have a particular country that you would like to see included ans/or units for existing or new countries you can request them at this link:
https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=3436106&mpage=205

Any requested change may not be acted on immediately as there are 100's of outstanding requests for changes and the need to be prioritized from game critical to "nice to have".

Hope this helps,

Hi Celicaas,

Just to amplify a little, the latest database update was earlier this week. Here is the changelog: https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4878984

The updated DB will be pushed to Steam once testing is complete. If you're interested in testing it, you can download and apply this beta update[www.matrixgames.com] which has the latest DB.

Just a note, simply applying the update and having the new DB on your computer does not update scenario files (this is by design to avoid conflicts, balance issues etc in existing scenarios).

To update the database used by a scenario, open it in Editor mode and click Edit > Database > Upgrade scenario to latest DB version.

Updating scenarios is covered in detail in the manual--there's a few gotchas so I strongly recommend reading the relevant sections :)

@OP additionally, you can still have, say, Russian aircraft stand in for Belarussian aircraft, if they are assigned to the side that is considered Belarus. Hell, you can even give Belarus F-22s and Nimitz Carriers if you so desired.

Long time enthusiast first time poster.

Am certainly loving CMO, particularly the mission editor however it seems with one of the recent database updates that there has been a bulk issue relating to cargo loads for amphibious ships.
I've noticed it with the following classes:

- L 61 Juan Carlos I -- Spain | L 02 Canberra [Juan Carlos Class] -- Australia
- L 3006 Largs Bay [Bay Class] -- United Kingdom | L 100 Choules [Bay Class] -- Australia
- L 51 Kanimbla [Newport Mod] -- Australia
- L 50 Tobruk [Sir Lancelot Mod] -- Australia

When looking over the database (in game) it seems that this might be as simple as a full stop occupying the place of a comma. When checking Cargo Capacity: the "Mass" in all the above cases is incredibly really low, for example the L100 Choules and Kanimbla show 2.16 & 2,743 tons of capacity respectfully, Tobruk shows 1.3 tons and L 61/L 02 list 12 tons as their capacity.

I am apparently using the latest build (Library build 1147.4), just wondering if this has been fixed or is being looked into as I am not across how this little issues are to be communicated.

For some references if someone is looking to update the models please see below:
- L 02 https://www.navy.gov.au/fleet/ships-boats-craft/lhd
- L 100 https://www.navy.gov.au/hmas-choules

Beyond that and looking across the ditch, our Kiwi brothers and sisters amphibious ship isn't currently listed with a cargo or troop capacity.
L 421 Canterbury -- New Zealand (Navy), 2007, 2x LCM, 2x RHIB, Ben-My-Chree design |L 421 Canterbury -- New Zealand (Navy), 2014, 2x LCM, 2x RHIB, Ben-My-Chree design

She should have a troop capacity of 250 and her cargo capacity for her 1,451 square metres (15,620 sq ft) should be at least 600 tons (I did see a reference to 40x LAV-III)
Aviation fuel for the 4x NH-90s she can deploy with would be nice too.

Happy to help if there is something that I can do at my end, I also noticed a few little things with the Australian & New Zealand ANZAC frigates too which I would be happy to help with.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Comb@t_Wombat,

The cargo issues you mentioned have been rectified: https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4883675

We use the Matrix forum (linked above) to test beta builds as it doesn't involve the logistical overhead of Steam releases. Steam updates are pushed after these beta builds have been out for a little while in order to avoid pushing a bug to Steam.

There's also a database request thread: https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=3436106&mpage=207

No need to re-post the above request as I've added it to our list, but the database thread is the best place to post any future requests.

Hi apache85,

Thanks heaps for the feedback, I think I'd figured out the matrix forum before you managed to respond on here so apologies for posting the cargo issue twice.

I did manage to get the updates for the ANZAC Class Frigates and the Canterbury.

Cheers again.
