Sentinal-2 satellite view - can we get better?

Hi,

So, yes, I know it would be a huge file but would it be possible to get an even higher resolution satellite view to work in CMO than Sentinel-2? Is there an even higher resolution version of Sentinel-2 available? Those purpose-built, stolen Chinese-occupied islands in the South China Sea are awfully small still....

You can also use custom overlays, by importing a properly geo-referenced image.

IIRC the manual has instructions for this.....?

Wait....we can use Baloogan (hope I spelled his name right) overlay program in CMO???? That works Dimitris? What was it called...GMaps, er. ..somethin like that?

yes you can. It works the same way it did before.

Damn that is AWESOME!!! Thanx ComSubPac for the quick reply...I think I was a little too hasty in deleting all that, now will redownload. I really did enjoy making my own overlays for a scenario....gave the simulation sort of a personal touch. Thank you!

I got it from https://baloogancampaign.com/2015/03/15/power-overlays/ under Baloogan's GMaps...you can just follows the instructions on his page. It's really a very cool program.

You probably dont really...but if I make my own overlays, I'll already have the map resolution I want, the area I want, and wont have to wait on my crappy internet connection to download sentinal tiles. Just a preference I guess.

@Tr3Pound7 - because the resolution is still too low. I want to be able to get in closer and get even better image resolution.

EarthExplorer is definitely the kind of resolution I'd like to have in the game.

The main imagery for EarthExplorer is ESRI World Imagery.
