Links open in IE
This is a minor issue, and might be a Windows 10 issue and not a game issue, but every web page link in game, for example in mission briefings, open in Internet Explorer instead of my default browser Firefox. Anyone got a fix for this? I don't remember this happening anywhere else, for example links in the game's launcher open in Firefox as they should.

For example in Air Tutorials, Strike Tutorial #1 mission description has a link to http://www.f-16.net/ which opens in IE.

Would like to know how to change this as I prefer Chome.

Hey Mixu,

Just saw your comment and have not been able to replicate what you are observing which could well be something I’m doing wrong.

If you can PM me on the Matrix forums (user stilesw) I’ll be happy to investigate this issue.

Thanks for bringing it up.

Hi Mixu,

I've found:

It seems to be a combination of the URL to which directed in the HTML file and Windows itself but not necessarily due to the CMO application.

My own system’s default browser is Firefox. I did quite a bit of testing and research on the internet and found the general response from various sources to be:

It really depends on your exact situation. If you are targeting multiple users outside a corporate network this is hardly possible to achieve. That would certainly be the case in the CMO environment. Many, many different platforms and possible default browser configurations.

In particular I was unable to find a solution or workaround. I if put http://www.f-16.net/ in the Firefox URL window it opens the location as it should. Also in this Word document. I could find no way to redirect the URL to Firefox from IE within the scenario’s link. Tried with other sites and browsers as default (Chrome, EDGE) but ended with the same results. Works fine in default browser but opens only in IE from within a scenario.

Now, I cannot say with 100% certainty that there is not a way to do this but I’ve found no solution is searching the internet or within the WarfareSims community. I'll let you know if I find more information.
