occasional lag / sluggishness

Is anyone else suffering from this? I unchecked all the eye-candy in the settings menu and drastically lowered the resolution, but it's not helping much. The problem occurs totally at random too, sometimes I'm struggling to move just after starting a match, and everything's fine with fifty enemies on screen.

Yeah I've noticed. Kinda pisses me off. Makes it hard to get good scores. I've noticed this in other games as well. I'm starting to wonder if this is bandwidth issues with Steam. But, not sure.
