solo vs party play
I know it's hard to balance it out XP wise

but personally I find the game way easier to solo playthrough than with a party

Solo might give u an harder start but once u get past that stage it will just snowball into making things easier and easier even the prince will turn out into a joke

Compared to a party where you have to micro manage each party member more intensively and less xp to be had making things harder in mid game.

prime examples of why solo play is better in my opinion

More XP>= more levels and more stamina to play with than with a party(beginning through mid game)
Mentor> always giving +1 will so no need to EVER upgrade that(compared to party where u modify deck instead)
solo play gives u more netto profit from the passive like (lone wolf, bastion and bloodthirsty) which are heavily OP passives to get
less draw reliant since your character can take the hits and do lots of damage more consistently

whereas a party
you get less XP so weaker characters overal
the bigger the party the more reliant you will be on draw cards because the bigger the party the more stamina u have spread over party members making it sometimes impossible to use it all because you don't have more cards to play with if you have no draw cards
Healing is a another big problem for characters, since they are weaker compared vs solo and there is not always the option to heal(a bad run of events , multiple elite fights) will leave your party in a bad spot if you can't heal and once a party member dies it's hard to recover
party also misses out on the best passives (lone wolf, bastion)

any thoughts?

What you say is true but:
Both works, with a party you can have an insane ap pool and with a decks thats allow to draw a lot cards you can do some insane thinks in round one. Also some skills can work really well together. Mice have a card which attack 1 time per bleed. Add a couple weasel and you can buff your attack power into oblivion.
Beside in a smaller party multiple chars can hit max level.

I like to play with samller partys thougth my first win against the prince was a 6man party.

Just choose level up after every boss, I always hit max in noble quarter on one guy even when running 6. As the other guy said, you can just play so many cards per turn with a stamina pool that massive with 6 characters, the offensive potential is massive. Especially considering the final boss's main gimmick impacts stamina cost.

Characters don't do more damage if you level them. They don't really tank better either unless you high roll. You also don't get to play more cards.

Lone wolf only seems good because it's meant to compensate for not having a party. However even if you have 13 stamina, a party with a total of 30+ stamina will always be able to play more cards.

yes but like i said the micro management is way harder with a party (also you need to be lucky to get draw cards) if you don't get draw cards it's way harder to maximie your stamina pool with 6 chars

Whereas solo
and given any decent armor you are blessed with free shield and extra stamina
get some red powders with a weapon dealing 12 damage and you are dealing massive damage to the enemy way easier to manage and complete than 6 party members

the only big difference is when you have a party running it can dish out more damage than a solo char

but getting to that point is way harder than doing solo
