Drawing cards for weapons in stash?

This was my first run, so forgive me if I'm missing something. Won a combat, got weapons, yay. Put them in stash, because that's what you do with extra weapons. Maybe I'll get more guys who can use them.

Is this not just a horrible death sentence? All it seems to do is put dead cards in your hand, when you really can't afford to be putting a bunch of dead cards into your hand. Why then, would I ever want to put a weapon in my stash?

1) If you expect to recruit another character shortly then it may be worth it in the long run.

2) IIRC, Wolves can use their racial to play those cards.
