So does anyone actually like the 13th doctor?
I think a much wider audience, including me, would be all over this game if it starred pretty much any other doctor.

She is way better than the 9th. That guy was bad in the show and a ♥♥♥♥ IRL. Didn't like him in the remake of Gone in 60 Seconds either.

Can't say I know him that well, but he was the first doctor I remember watching on tv and I didn't think he was that bad, at least at the time. Never liked the shaved head + leather jacket look though.

He left the show because the executive staff was mistreating some of the lower level production crew. Eccleston is a stand up dude.

I like her, and all the new doctors, but Matt Smith is my fav.
Jodie is adorable. Perfect for kids. Chibnal needs help writing though. he's not using her to her best potential and its frustrating seeing comment threads like this when he's dropping the ball. I never liked his episodes in previous eras.

I HOPE the writing and dialogue is on point in this game so help me god. Jodie's too precious to not be written by more writers. She does extremely well in other shows.

Right.... I think you're overly infantilizing the kid demographic of Dr.Who. When I was a kid, I sure as hell wouldn't have wanted to hear the Doctor coo 'will you be my new best friends?'. It's cringey and lame, as is the case with 13's demeanor in general. The general vibe the show gives off is one of extreme patronization imo, and this is something that a lot of 'kids' (that Chibnall is presumably trying to reach) really can't stand. And no it's not just me projecting, how many of us as kids would honestly have liked the ♥♥♥♥ we got last season? I know what I liked. Action, adventure, engaging characters, cool, interesting and complex concepts. Chibnall is so misguided it's not funny.

....I am sorry but the disagreement I have towards this statement is beyond comprehension

I think Eccleston was the key to the big Dr. Who boom when the show gained all this appeal all of a sudden outside the UK.
He might have not been the BEST Doctor, but he was good to ease new audiences into the more lighthearted and madcap adventures of D. Tennant & M. Smith.
You start with a leather jacket, then you go to suit with trainers, THEN you go to Bowties are cool.

...Shame the show has bascially stalled out so bad they they're begging Tennant to come back and clean up their mess. Good job, morons.

She could have been a good doctor. If only Chibnal had done a good job in writing it. And at this moment I just hope that Russel T Davis or Steven Moffat would return to write the show again.

Naked? Yeah sure.

She is not my favourite. I like the 10-12th doctors much more. But for VR i think this is not so important. I want to fly my tardis!

I like her. I like all of them. Splendid chap(et)s. All of them.

I think she is an awful incarnation of the Doctor. Sylvester McCoy is far better. The writer I mainly to blame, as Christopher Eccelston stayed in an interview in 2005, the show will fail if the writer isn’t a successful scripture.

I actually like Jodie. She could really knock it out of the park with better writers. I've struggled to get through these episodes because the stories are just cringy. And they are writing her dialogue like a new character. What she is missing is the darkness. That's what makes The Doctor. Yeah he is goofy and whimsical, but you know just under the surface is a dark rage that makes Daleks look like fluffy kittens. The writers are neglecting that aspect of the character and it leaves Jodie looking like fluff.

The character itself is terrible, mainly down to the writers of the season though. I'm sure if Jodie was given a good script, she'd be amazing as the doctor. I'm certainly hoping the writers of this game did a good job.
