1) You must be logged into your Asmodee.net account to play online against others. Make sure you are logged in by clicking the avatar in the top right of the main menu, then try accessing the Lobby again.
2) Temporary account suspension due to actions that break the terms of service.
3) The server being temporarily down for upgrades or fixes.
As there has been no interruption of the servers for upgrades today, this is most likely one of the other two. Please feel free to reach out to our support team via Helpshift if you require more information or additional investigation into the cause of this matter. I do apologize for the confusion, but assure you that an Asmodee.Net account has always been required to play online.
I don't have the password for that account written down on my list, so I requested a reminder. However, it still hasn't arrived (usually these kind of reminders/password refreshers arrive within minutes, if not seconds).
Edit: I fixed it and it's absolutely horrifying how I had to do this.
The e-mail wasn't coming (and I have my doubts if it ever comes), so I started Ticket to Ride. Thankfully I was logged in automatically there. This allowed me to set a new password, after the game redirected me to Days of Wonders site. From that point on I used my newly-set Asmodee password to log into my A Game of Thrones: The Board Game account.
In short: If I didn't have THE OTHER GAME I simply wouldn't be able to play THIS game. How insane is that?
