Rules inconsistencies
Hi,

Unsure if this can be considered a technical issue or bug but I found some rule inconsistencies I'd like to bring up.

1. Game of Thrones Card Broken (no power token for ports)
During the Westeros Phase (Game of Thrones Card) I do not receive a Power token (Crown) for my Ship which is in the Port. The adjacent sea is mine so the condition to receive the power token is met, yet it is not counted.

2. Ships in ports can not be chosen as casualties when triggered by event consequence
Those damn Wildlings were Victorious and the highest loser needed to remove 2 units from one castle/stronghold or if he couldn't from any 2 regions. All other players needed to remove 1 unit. I was in the last category and could choose any unit except the ship in the port of Pyke. This ship was converted from Greyjoy to Lannister after succesfully conquering Pyke a few rounds before and was thus under my command. Yet that ship could not be chosen to be discarded.

3. Home Area Printed Power Token loyalty
Treacherous Greyjoy lost a battle and retreated to Searoad Marches just below Lannisport. Smart Move as I had left Lannisport undefended thinking I was safe (should have known better, haha). Anyways, next round Greyjoy succesfully conquered Lannisport after which I retaliated and reconquered my home area. Although the garisson is now killed and lost (If a Garrison is defeated in combat, it is permanently removed from the game) I do regain control of the home area and it's printed power token icon. This means that when I leave that area next round it should remain under my control and I should not have to spend a power token to keep it under my control (If a player chooses not to, or cannot, leave a Power token behind when vacating an enemy player’s home area, control of that home area immediately reverts back to its original House.) In the game I was forced to play a power token to keep it mine. This should not have been the case.

4. Ships in ports of uncontrolled area
Figthing as Baratheon against Martell. Martell conquers Storm's End from me and converts my ship in port. Later I launch an attack on Storm's End from Dragonstone and win but Martell has played Arianna Martell as house card, hindering me to enter the land area. Storm's End is now uncontrolled. The Martell ship in port should be destroyed, yet it is not the case.

(Rules: Ships left in a Port that is connected to an uncontrolled land area are immediately destroyed. (with exception of home area's))

5. Impossible to Raid a port
Player couldn't raid a port (with a consolidate power order on) from adjacent sea.

6. Skulls on Tides of Battle Cards
Tides of Battle cards don't work properly. It seems cards with skull only works for the winner while the rules state:
"...If a player’s Tides of Battle card features a Skull icon, the
opposing player must suffer one casualty regardless of which
player was victorious in the combat..."

7. Support AI (Starks)
Stark seems unable to support himself in many occasions.

8. Choose Support or not
Sometimes you're prompted to support yourself. Other times it is done automatically. Not consistent.

Hoping the above points can be reviewed. Thanks.

Best regards,
Maximus

Edit: added 4th rule inconsistency to keep everything clear in one post.
Edit: added 5th rule inconsistency as mentioned by Evil_Penguin918
Edit: added 6th rule inconsistency as mentioned by against
Edit: Reported 1-6 through their report contact form. Awaiting feedback.
Edit: Added 7 + 8 to the list + added a title to each number to make it easier to see the bug. In my original post I had been quiet poetic about the description of the problem :)

For 1) I observed the same issue on my side, but I thought it was maybe due to the fact that I was playing a tutorial/challenge game, where all the rules are not always fully applied? Not sure..

I indeed noticed it first during the tutorial and was thinking that to be the reason, but in the meanwhile I've also noticed it in Skirmish mode.

adding a fourth rules inconsistency:

The only rule inconsistencies i've come across (after 1 game) were I couldn't raid a port with a consolidate power when I was outside with ships.

Thanks for sharing. I've added it to the list on the post above.

Have same issues

In addition: wrong work of tides of battles cards

Cards with skull works only for winner.

But in game rules we have this wording:
"...If a player’s Tides of Battle card features a Skull icon, the
opposing player must suffer one casualty regardless of which
player was victorious in the combat..."

Just confirming that I've seen 1, 3, 4, and 5 as well.

I had the same case as
5. Player couldn't raid a port (with a consolidate power order on) from adjacent sea.

So please fix it

Same problem here

Thank you for posting this, i basically had the same list after a few hours of playing. Seems like a simple bug fix patch could clear this up. I love the board game, was super thrilled when this was announced, especially since Covid hit.

I haven't yet tried out the Tides of Battles card myself but thanks for sharing. I've added it to the list.
They made a report section so make sure to report the bugs, they answer you and pass them to the developpers.

Thanks, I wasn't sure if this would be considered bugs or not. I guess it's wrongly coded in the game so that it falls under the term bugs. I've reported 1 - 6 to them. I will keep you informed as I receive feedback from their side.

In the meanwhile don't hesitate to mention irregularities that you're observing in game.

Thanks for keeping up with this, Max! :)

There's also technical inconsistencies when units are supported or not. I've experienced multiple fights now where support was not given either from both sites supporting units or just one side which is really weird when you have that ship support house card planned for the move

Friendly and rapid answer. :steamhappy: Now just need to wait for them to find the root cause and implement changes I guess.
