controller is showing wrong commands, or isn't mapped properly in game

first creature is mapped to Triangle, but it only works when i hit X instead.
D-pad also seems wrong, and whenever the gamne wants me to press X to advance, it means I have oti hit Circle instead.

Hi! Please follow these recommendations:

-Disable control support on Steam Control Settings (This should work!)
-Try to connect the controller with USB cable, not blutooth.
-Disable all external mapping tools (DS4 for example)
-Do not use Steam Big Picture

Meanwhile, if you prefer, you can play on mouse and keyboard!

I have the same issue. I have no external mapping tools as far as I know. I only ever remap through big picture mode on steam and I'm not using it for this game.

I always connect through the official wireless usb thing that Sony released and have never had issues with it prior.

First summon says it's the square, but it's cross. d-pad doesn't work in the main menu to go down, but it works to go up through the social links [and down those but not the main menu] and just outright doesn't work in the ingame menu.

I wonder if this is why circle is confirm too. Feels like things are cycled counter clockwise or something. I know Japanese devs use circle for confirm, but feels like it wouldn't be the case for this type of game. Though doesn't explain why menu is R3. Yep, menu confirms x as select...

edit; creatures panel says it's left on dpad, but it's down... lol

okay, retying this - no steam controller api means my ds4 just plain doesn't work in game at all.
I tried to emulate an xbox 360 cotnroller, had same issues.

when the game says hit UP DPAD to open map, it pulls up the status screen for my caught creatures,

also I cannot play on mouse and keyboard, it's highly painful to my wrists. II porefer controller as it is comfortable.

I'm having similar issues using an Xbox 360 controller, I don't use any kind of remapping, but the controls are all scrambled and display as PS controls. Menu is on R3, creature menu is I think D right, and nothing brings up the map.

i used super bootleg controller , it's supposed ot be a PS4 controller ( only it dont work with ps4 ) when I plug it in to my pc, it thinks it's an xbox 360 controller, but in games it thnk sit's a ds4.

idk, it had a post op surgery to be a ds4 i suppose.

but it also strangely enough works fine ( where it doesnt work at all in liek 80% of games z)

Still having problems with the Logitech gamepad. Start seems to be swapped with clicking the right stick, square in the game is A button on the pad (equivalent of X from PS4 controller), and the bumpers and triggers seem to be swapped as well.

Hi, Mike, right now we only have support for PS4 and Xbox one controller. But it is in our implementation list to adapt to other controllers.
