Pretty much yes it is just pinball with a bunch of mini-games like things on the board/machine whatever you want to call it

Do any of the DLCs add anything to the actual gameplay? (Mainly thinking of the new pinballs in that first dlc) or are they just for looks?

Just seems to be for looks I tried using them and nothing really changes from what I could tell the girls needed the same amount of points to beat them

the story (using the term really loosely here) is extremely cringeworthy and embarrassing to read, but the pinball part is a lot of fun. I got it on switch though.

YES! I usually don't even like pinball, but this game is so funny and has so cool effects. It's definitely worth buying. I'm glad Ryona-chan is there. Pity my other favourites Ikaruga and Homura aren't. With the pandemic many games cancelled their DLCs, I think this is why we don't have more girls in Peach Pinball. I just hope a Pinball 2 comes with more girls this time and tables.
