Is there a conclusion to the story?
Hello! I beat the game with 4 of the characters and am going to try Rose next. But I'm wondering if there's anything more to the story, since each time you kill the uberlich another one apparently appears and there's dialogue about gathering artifacts (to avoid this, maybe?).

What you saw there is the conclusion of the story - there's not a 'true final' encounter like in Slay the Spire. I have considered adding some additional content that would lean into the idea that there might be different Uberliches. For instance, I think what Monster Train does with their final boss (has one of three possible forms) is super interesting. No specific promises on content here, but I do think it would be something that would be cool

The 'gathering of the artifacts' and breaking the cycle is something I'd like to cover in a future game. Krumit's Tale is a follow-up (not a sequel, per-se) to Meteorfall: Journeys on mobile. I'd like to develop a third 'Meteorfall' game that has you going on adventures with Krumit and seeing the artifacts - but in the 'real world', not just in his shop with a box of tiles.

So you're not missing anything currently - though maybe I'll expand a bit in the future.

Awesome! I'll be on the lookout for any new projects, then. Love the game, the art is great, the mechanics are original and addicting. Thanks and congrats!

I do hope you may reconsider and add a final encounter for the game. While continuing the story in another one is also cool, I think this is my only gripe with this game that I otherwise love. I kept wondering when I would get to it after many playthroughs and am quite disappointed that things end on the cliffhanger. Would love to gather some artifacts, something like slay the spire where you need to win with each character, and than you get a final battle.
