Some general questions about the end game and carp fishing.

So I'm finally level 50 and can't figure a couple of things out. I have all the top level 50 rods, reels, and lines so gear isn't the issue. I mostly just need to know how to best optimize it.

First of all can someone actually explain to me the best way to use the chum feature for catfish and carp? I have no idea how to effectively get or make recipes. I am trying to use feeder rigs bottom fishing but I don't understand how and when to use additives. The best performance I seem to get is by just using the Catfish Destroyer or Carp Rival base with nothing else. You also seem to need to spend more money for carp gear like the bags and such.

Also carp rods in general, like what is the best baits and such. Pellets, Boilies, etc. I'm an American with very limited carp fishing experience and I haven't even heard of some of these things until just this last winter.

The places I'm mostly trying to fish are Weeping Willow, Germany, and Michigan. Primarily targeting carp and Wels/Blue catfish. A barb-less 4/0 hook seems to be the overall best. I make the most cash in Michigan but I get more uniques in the UK and Germany. Sweet corn for carp, and medium cut-bait for the catfish. I use the level 50 bottom rods. Heavy Chaser with Griffin Spod reel. My Carp setup is the level 50 Deep Horizon rod with the Leviathan reel.

There are often periods of hours during peak time in game where I don't get a single bite, especially in the UK. So clearly I'm doing something wrong but I simply don't know what.

i was the same when I tried to use them, gave up didnt use anything and I still caught heaps of carp over 70lbs I think they are rubbish same as the spod rod never used it have a look at my screen shots you will see that it didnt hurt not using them

What did you catch the 70+ pound ones on? I haven't gotten any carp of any kind larger than 44 lbs.
