Blue Crab DLC gear. How to use?

Any tips on how to use the new DLC gear to fish Blue Crab? Is there something you need to do? I am low level, so can only fish there with the DLC equipment.

Any large spoons or spinner baits work well. I haven't had too much luck with the buzz baits. Adding rubber worms to the buzz baits helps some but I don't use them often. I have been using X-Series lures and have great results with the 1.5oz #4/0 Single Spoon. That one fished stop and go or twitching gets a wide variety of fish. Drums seem to love them and I get the occasional Trophy Tarpon or Trophy Permit and quite a few UNI Snook and Bonefish. The X-Series 1oz #4/0 spinnerbait with rubber worms attached also do well. I put night time shad or worms on them at night. Shallow crankbaits work good too, especially the glowing ones at night. I just keep the anchor up on the bass boat and troll around casting.

Yes, XP and cash are good but I do notice that Trophy and Uni fish get way less XP in this game than they do on FP with premium. Baitcoins are decent(had a few uni Black Drums that paid around 70 each) but will get better when I have higher level bottom and match rods. I was level 38 when I reset Sunday night. I just hit level 30 in less than 5 nights. I have been fishing BCI a lot since finishing the tutorial missions but I have also been completing level appropriate Mastering Missions when I get bored at BCI.

Holy Hell, the X-series #6/0 medium spoon is money. I just caught Trophy Black Drum, Trophy Red Drum, Trophy Permit and Uni Snook on consecutive casts roaming around in my Bass Boat in the stumps by the boat dock. If you don't have that lure it is given for 30 days at Michigan. If you have the $35,000 it might be worth it to unequip all your gear and get it. At this rate I will get that money back in one net full of fish.
