how do you know this? Genuinely curious. Or are you just bullshitting? I absolutely despise DRM.
They're bullshitting, this very likely is a crossplatform update that fixed the notice board bug, according to someone else who sourced the Japanese twitter.
SteamDB says 200kb was appended to the game EXE, and I don't know of any DRM that small. Not to mention that unlike Square at large, Koei doesn't have a rep for extensively using DRM, just botched PC ports (just look at DQH, or like any older Musou game).
Not to mention if they did add external DRM without mentioning it on the store page, that breaks Valve policy.
