Not sure, they just updated bunch of executables and libraries. Probably nothing to do with game content and more with soft fixes.
However, the water reflection is more a gameplay issue. DQB1 doesn't have deep water so reflections were a solid design choice for that game (and they are present in the Switch and PS versions too.) Becuase DQB2 introduced deeper water and the ability to dive below the surface, that meant reflections could be misinterpreted by player, so they went with a more transparent water effect. Would an option of sorts be desirable? Yes, but we're not getting one now, and even if they were to have redone DQB2 in Unity I'm not sure they'd have changed the water from transparent to reflective.
