Stuck on Furrowfield - the worm doesn't like my trees!
The (last?) quest I have to complete in Furrowfield is to plant trees for the worm. The only trouble is, I've already planted five of them, well within the bounds of my base. They are fully grown. I even added a swing to one, and the quest won't complete. What can I do?

Trying to remember what he wants exactly. When you talk to him, what prompt does he give you? Is it just five trees or does he want you to use a certain item?

Also I seem to recall the townsfolk rejoiced when I placed the swing. Did they acknowledge you placed it?

As I recall, this quest is tied into obtaining the Worm Food recipe from the green-faced Bodkin west of the cave where you found Lillian and Saffron. If you haven't done that yet, go make this Bodkin happy (you'll need five Grass Seeds) and I think it then satisfies Wrigley once you return to the farm. May have to make a Worm Food at the Wooden Workbench, but I don't think it actually has to be used because you've already used the two Wrigley gave you earlier.

Also, the tree with the swing must be within the base - I assume at least one of your five trees are.

Another prerequisite may be talking to the green Bodkin chief in the large hollowed-out tree in the southeast forest, wiping out ten of the purple faced bodkins at his request, then talking to him again to obtain five acorns as a reward. You can get acorns from Badboon drops as well and maybe you used those to grow your trees instead of completing either of the Bodkin sidequests.

A third may be learning the secret of Fertiliser from the female Orc in the cave near the male Orc's Tomato farm. Crops and trees grow faster with fertiliser so its assumed you've completed this task before Wrigley and Lillian's swing set request. I think Wrilgey even says fertilizer would help the tree grow faster when he first makes the request for a tree.

The tree needs to be fully grown. Also, you can play the entire game without learning the fertilizer recipe.

Thanks guys! What worked for me--in case someone else gets stuck--was closing the game, opening it again, and placing another swing on a second fully grown tree. It must have been a glitch.
