Buildnoculars on PC with keyboard?

Has anyone figured out how to use the buildnoculars on the PC with the keyboard? Searching the forums, it seems like everyone is using a controller or is on a console. The tips and tricks section says to use the key T and then directional keys to use. However, pushing T gives the emotion options (e.g. wave or stomp in anger). Holding it or tapping it doesn't work. Cycling through the POV with the V key also doesn't help.

I have no idea how to use the buildnoculars, and it is frustrating me because I spent a *lot* of time doing all 60 tablet tasks.

Works for me on keyboard - but have to be in third person mode first (if you're not already). You can still use mouselook when in buildnocular mode too, but use directionals to move the cursor.

Thanks! I'll give it a try (although I'm fairly sure I tried in the various perspective modes). Were you able to enter the mode using the 'T' button without getting the emotive menu?

When in 1st person view I get the emote menu, but in 3rd person mode it activates the binoculars.

*Finally* figured it out. It requires the use of the "look downward" mode (number key "1"). If you hit that, then hit "t", it goes into buildnoculars mode. Not very well explained in the game, and appears to be one of those console port omissions. On the controller it is the LT button, which is a lot less arcane.
