DLC and preorder items

Does anyone know if there are/were pre-order items that are not available with the game purchase? Or is everything just included? And what about the Sigil blocks, are they in the game (and if so, when do they unlock?) Thanks for the info.

I don't know if all the pre-order DLC (such as the Sigil Blocks) are still part of the full PC game or not.

Someone else had answered my same question about the Sigil Blocks, that they are available upon arrival at IOA, if you go find one of the three Builder's Workbenches right away. Much of the non-Season Pass DLC recipes are available right from the start (such as the Pixelated Protagonists, Legendary Line Art, Dragon Quest Logo, Ornamental Chimaera Wing, and Ornamental Medicinal Herb) though some of it requires material you don't get until later (such as Medicinal Leaves to make the Ornamental Medicinal Herb.) However, the demo still locks these recipes so they are not available without full game.

I just replied to you in another thread about DQB1, small world! Are the Dragon Quest Logo/Ornamental Chimaera Wing/Ornamental Medicinal Herb available in DQB2 on PC by any chance?

Not any longer. They were available for the first few months of DQB2 Steam purchases but Steam now runs a similar package as if someone bought digital version for consoles, season pass, and added the free Knickknack Pack DLC. So we get Stackable Slime (included in digital packages but physical comes with a DLC card) and Knickknack stuff like Pretty Paddle, but Steam doesn't get any of the other minor DLC like the Dragon Quest Logo, Ornamental set, Sigil Blocks, Pixelated Protagonists, and Legendary Line Art.

If you want them in your game you need to use cheat engine or save file editors. I'd recommend the turtle-insect editor, which can modify the CMNDAT.bin save file to alter your inventory to grant yourself the items you desire. The DLC doesn't add these items to game - they are already there; the DLC merely unlocks the ablility to build them at workstations. (All the DLC items are in the base game's files so you can visit islands that have them and not see missing elements.)

Well the good news is that you don't need to have the pre order to get the pre order bonuses in the Steam version. Either edit them in with Turtle Insect - or find someone who uses turtle-insect who is willing to multiplayer on your island and they can put them into their own inventory and leave them behind for you.

I didn't get the pre-order bonus for Steam either but on one of my saves I have all the items cuz a friend came to my island and did just that XD

I appreciate the info! I can't afford to pick the game up any time soon but will 100% grab it when I can
