Max Villagers for PC ?

Hello all i was wondering is 60 the max villagers also on PC for Awakening Village ? or could they be increase by "mods" or "other" means ??

Limit is 60 for IOA and Buildertopias. The actions of NPCs eats up alot of processor time, which is why its a fairly low limit. The game stalls and skips frames most often at breakfast/dinner time when all the NPCs need to calculate paths back to the kitchen or dining room, or when it starts raining and they need to go indoors, so increasing the resident limit only makes the problem worse, especially on lesser capable PCs or the Switch.

Possibly increasable by a mod/hack, but attempting to share such an island could break for others without same mod/hack.

I don't know of any 'other means' to get it done. Its pretty well foolproofed by increasing the limit upon return from the story islands with new residents and controlling further movement through the resident's register. I haven't seen any in-game tricks to break either.
