Transferring the save file from the Switch
Can it be done? I haven't found anything on this yet when searching online, and I've already played the game on the Switch and wouldn't mind continuing my save on PC. I know there are a lot of games that are released on multiple platforms that the community has found a way to decrypt and re-encrypt the saves between versions... is DQB2 one of them yet? (I recognize this could be a premature question, but I'm pretty curious all the same.)

I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you. Post launch support for DQ games on pc is generally pretty minimal. I'd love this feature though. I would buy this game again on pc if it meant I didn't have to start all the bloody way over again.

If you have a hacked switch you can export your unencrypted save and dump it in the PC save folder. I was able to do this with the demo even. Otherwise, not likely.

Hacking my switch sounds too risky to me, tbh. I'm not even sure mine's got the patch or not. Good suggestion though. Makes me wish big game devs were more easy going about this sort of thing.

To be honest though, I only did it as an exercise in curiosity. I'll be starting from scratch for the third time on PC after fully completing the game twice. The free build at the end is great, but I enjoy the journey just as much.

Where's the save folder located on PC?

I think it would be fun... but I remembered certain parts of the game that I'd consider to be a bit of "drudgery", so I closed out of the demo before the ship scene ended and reconsidered if I was really willing to play the whole game over again.

But, hacking the Switch does sound like a fair plan. Do you have a particularly reliable source to direct me to?

Could I get it? My save is on ps4 and apparently decrypting that requires old firmware and paying for a program...
