im in no rush to finish my fun, but i cant wait to get to the part in the game where the aquarium stuff will be available !!
They take time and money, and more often then not, present a chance to deter more people then they encourage to buy.
You would need to be supremely confidant your demo is bug free to put one out.
(and there is the potential of spending all your time on hte first 1-5hour experiance, and leave the rest of the game unfinished, which will then infuriate purchasers.)
Like, the first 5min of gameplay in this. I ran into the mouse camera movement issue. its atrocious. I didn't give up and swapped to controller. game went from unplayable, to very enjoyable. and over the course of the demo, did convince me to buy it. but, a great many will get turned off by that mouse/camera issue.
Before the final boss fight of the island a message pops up telling you it is the end of the demo.
And on that island you can do start some remodeling and building if you want to, or you could stay on the first island and rebuild the whole farm to the form how you like it and keep racking up that gratitude. Which will pay of later after you finish the full story of the game.
Hopefully more dev's do this. I remember the days where every game had a demo.
