Mayor's Office; what am I doing wrong???

I am trying to build the Mayor's office room and can't seem to get it to complete. What am I doing wrong. All of the room recipes I read just say sign, is there a mayor sign? If so where do I get it? Also, I have stationary but recipes call for planners stationary. Again, where do I unlock that? (I have completed the main story line but not all the explores islands or all of the puzzles on main islands)

This room recipe requires a normal wooden Signpost. The Fancy Signpost and Fat Rat Signpost do not qualify. I hope you are also not making this error in addition to Stationary vs Resident's Register mistake.
