Cant jump high

so i cant even get past the first level because it wont let me jump "high" even when i hold space bar. 1/10

no matter how perfect i jump i dont jump high enough

ive found the answer:
you just have to hold space

yeah i did that but the shroom would now calculate my jumps so i ended up just stop jumping. its like when you bouce on a trampaline. if two people are jumping and one purseon is coming down and the other one just stated to jump and the weight of then made the trampaline solid and you end up not jumping.
