XBox controller not working During Tutorial.

My controller works on the menus but once i get into the Tutorial, it don't work no more, it tell me to hit x, i hit it, nothing happens, cant move, nothing. I have to hit ESC to back out then it starts working again on the menus. Help?
Edit, controllers work find in main games mode's tho.

I had a similar issue with my PS4 controller. (I think) what fixed it was launching the game through Steam Big Picture, and then applying the generic gamepad configuration. Both my PS4 and Logitech controllers now work.

I unclicked ALL gamepad support and steam overlay and then had no issues. Win 10, xbox1 wireless controller.
