Changing commander traits

hi, finished the 1939 Wehrmacht campaign and chose to.go to North Africa. The game will let me change difficulty, and under advanced options I can change the number of commander traits I have, but I don’t see how to change or display the traits the campaign will start with. Am I stuck with the ones from the 39 campaign ? If so is there an option to change the number of traits? Ready

I don't think you can but correct me if i'm wrong. You either have to start the Northafrica 1941 campaign separately then you can chose commander traits but you'll get the template army, you can not take your core units that you built up from previous scenarios. Or you restart the whole Whermacht campaign in which case you also lose your core units i guess... I don't see any way you change your generals traits AND keep your core units.
