We love the game and we just think it could be so much better.
A DLC because the vanilla sounds are terrible? Where are the standards?
The standards are gone!
I mean the developer even told us to fix it our selfes(through modding) a little earlier in this thread!
And if we as customers don't like them now, and even describe them as a mistake, as inappropriate, don't like what we payed for, should we now correct the unsuitable sound effects ourselves?
I can't say, I like this policy.
I said no such thing, I said that the sound is moddable if you wish to mod the sounds.
I personally have no issue with the sounds, they are realistic and not very Hollywood and I guess that isn't to everyone's tastes. People for example, got very used to the Stuka Siren in Panzer Corps 1 and other games but that was actually very rare. It featured on one version of the Stuka (type B) and was quickly removed from all versions thereafter because it seriously damaged the airspeed of the plane. It may have only been operationally used a handful of times.
Sound can be a question of personal taste. There was a sound pack that was released for Panzer Corps 1 to make the sounds more realistic like Panzer Corps 2 is, for example. So there are many that hold the exact opposite opinion to those here asking for the less realistic but more "expected" sounds that Panzer Corps 1 has.
You can see that here:

As always, we are trying to bring you guys the best experience as best we can and we are aware of your feedback.
The sounds of flying airplanes are ok but could be deeper, more impressive. Airplanes attacking is quite nice, I like it.
Riflemen shooting is also good, while Heavy Infanty shooting sounds a bit meh. I really liked the different machine gun noises of the german, russian, british and U.S. Heavy Infantry in Panzer Corps 1, because they were realistic!
Tanks and artillery shooting is mostly also nice, but when they drive or move towed then there is either no sound of that at all or those sounds are anything but sounds of tracked vehicles, moving around.
In fact, tracked movement is the worst sound in the game and you can't tell me that you really like it, too.
Realistic sounds are not often "Impressive" sounding. So lets take tracked movement as an example:

This sound is very similar to the sound in Panzer Corps 2 you hear for Russian tanks which many have described here as "like a hairdryer" but it's the real, actual sound a Russian T34 tank makes.
I will as always pass your feedback along, but my understanding is that most of the sound in Panzer Corps 2 is based on the real, exact noises of the various units in question. A lot of early tanks did indeed sound like tinfoil, hairdryers and PC fans. Really, really, loud versions of those things anyway.
Thank you kindly for pass on my plea.
These sounds are realistic? Honest?
I saw, and heard, the video with the T-34 [en.wikipedia.org]. No clear chain rattle?, No coilover creak?
So are we really so brainwashed by Hollywood?
All right, no clear chain rattling when driving a tank, at least not with the T 34.
I have to admit, I like like the Hollywood sound better...
Das Krad...blub blub blub...hahaha
The Redux Mod is already something Hollywood, but I like them and use them.
Bismarck[en.wikipedia.org], despite her powerful armament - Oh, how cute
Please don't tell us now, this sound would be realistic!
The German staff officer's accent is an impertinence.
That destroys immersion tremendously.
