Game breaking bug

In the second level I'm trying to change the type of my infantry. However when i press the upgrade button on a unit of infantry the game crashes. Anybody know what could be the cause?

It's an issue related to new unit models... we're attempting to deploy a hotfix ASAP.

A temporary work around, hold off on buying new units until reaching the next scenario, the Battle of San Francisco. This bug only seems to affect the second scenario, and clears up for the remainder of the campaign ahead.

Apologies that this major bug made it into the live version, there is a fix we just need to get it deployed.

I'm having issues loading saves as well. Complete game crash.

Same save load error here. Happened when I bought new units at San Fran like the post suggested above lol.

i think its the japanese units, and it still happens in san francisco, quite bad when you cant equip infantry with trucks

The crash seems to be related to the japanese infantry. After you get the infantry types in scenario 2 the game will crash when you open the unit build/upgrade panel. When you proceed to scenario 3 you can temporarily open the unit build/upgrade panel without crash, but the crash will happen again after you load a save. Deleting the two japanese infantry prototypes seems to solve the issue.

I'm crashing on the Kansas City mission. It won't even load before it crashes.

Want to give an update from what I've been playing. San Francisco also crashes for me when loading saves on it. I can play through it normally but any save crashes for me.

Hello All!

First of all, we apologise for this issue.

Second, we have submitted a hotfix which addresses this issue and also includes some other little fixes and improvements a few days ago. We hoped that the hotfix would be turned around in time for the release, but unfortunately that did not work.

While we all are waiting for the patch to release, all I can offer from my end is to try and apply the patch manually. If anyone wants to try it, then please do the following:
- Download the archive here[www.dropbox.com]
- Unpack it
- Open the game's installation folder
- Copy the contents of the archive to the game folder, replacing any files in the process

Existing saves which crash in the Shop after reload are already broken, the patch does not fix them. But going to the next mission will fix the issue and there should be no more Shop crashes from that point onwards.

Unfortunately the hotfix doesn't work. I followed the instructions, started the game, loaded the mission before the elite goal, after reaching the goal, the same crash again when you go to the purchase menu.

Do you see version 1.9.3 displayed in the main menu after updating? What mission does this mission save belong to?

Game version: 1.9.3 (Steam)
Operation Tenacity before capturing the elite objective "Raid Victoria", all is fine. After obtaining the Japanese Infantry, the game immediately crashes when you go to the purchase menu. Even during the Operation Tenacity mission, after this point.

I tried it in English and German to test whether the language plays a role - unfortunately not.

I have sent automatic bug reports, if you need anything else, you're welcome.

Edit: No mods, not now, nor in the past.

same here;
happens to me when you try to "upgrade" an existing core Infantry unit
(Volksgranadier - from an AO 1945 save)

If you started the scenario with the old patch it does not work.
You have to install the patch and restart the scenario. It is working for me.

Just finished the San Fran scenario and chose to head south. The scenario is unplayable if you do anything to upgrade units. Crash and burn!
