I already do this what you say about unit positioning. But it seems like the AI is a bit cheating. They can hit my units real harder than my own units even if I use the best Jägers I can buy, the enemy's Jägers are way stronger. And I play on the lowest difficulty by now.
Thank you I will try to take some of those things I didn't know into consideration and see how it works out.
- i dont know if the AI cheats but its in general adviced to assume it knows where your units are especially if its close to the front line
- the english word for Jäger is fighter by the way, assuming you mean airplanes here. Anyways, what affects the outcome of the battle of two units of the same type is the statistics of the units involved - usually the more expensive/more modern a unit the better it is, though this is a very simplified. The other thing affecting it is abilities, either coming from heros or the unit has them by default. Another factor is terrain and weather, another is unit size (unless its a ship or fortress). Another factor is experience. the more experience = stars a unit has the higher its accuracy. And then there is randomness too. Assuming you using currently Messerschmidts and FWs they should be roughly on par with allied counterparts in 41-43. I suspect you use unexperienced units or you have bought a fighter that is most modern one but not the best in air to air combat. i cant remember what units are available in the campaign in the africa part. compare stats is my suggestion
- yes the AI usually heavily outnumbers you, otherwise given the game mechanics. it would be way way way too easy.
- you should be able to place as many scouts units as you can afford with prestige and unit slots- i have never encountered that issue you describe myself
-to field captured units you need at least 10
Wow. That really helps 'the player' a lot. Not.
Anyways thanks to the others giving me real tips and options to look for.
I'm already on the lowest difficulty.
i think you belong to those players who can benefit from that...
There's a tutorial... Play it.
It's been a while but it should basically cover the basics including the purchase and deployment of troops.
I played the whole tutorial. I was fine in the game until it took me to Africa.
