Axis operations 1945 - End in Berlin mission

Enjoyed slaying and slicing through countless soviet hardware in the historical campaign. Arrived at the End in Berlin mission and by round 11 the ammo pool is empty, but there are still Soviet tanks and folks that need some loving. Kinda frustrating tbh. Is there a catch to it or is it simply the end, my friend?

It's pretty much the end. Alternatively, you can 'win' in a sense by destroying all of the Soviet ammo dumps in the corners of the map. A little tip to save up on ammo, immediately tell all of the useless non core troops to commit suicide. Especially that jagdtiger on the right that keeps getting strat bombed and losing ammo uselessly. Personally in my headcanon, I'm just telling them to surrender.

The only thing you can do is force units to surrender to get a little bit of ammo and prestige but you'll never beat it.

Additionally you can also:

1. Beat Seelow Heights scenario and go into advanced settings and switch off supply for the final misison

Here's what happened when I tried to game the system:

I made a large core of my army 21cm artillery and grille artillery and slowly pounded my way in a spiral around the map. Even if you knock out the ammo dumps, units still spawn in those areas. You get no flavorful text dialog or a different outcome if you manage to survive all the turns and push back the Russians from Berlin. I understand that for the scenario that's asking a bit much but since its a video game firstly, it would be a bit amusing to see more reason to accomplish high directives in previous maps and manage to stem the tide at the final moments.

I didn't go for the supply dump wipe but 'removed' the auxiliary fodder and put key forces in a thick defensive position out of range of Soviet arty and had enough AA to eliminate their airforce without my own (killet AA trait) namely the strat bombers.

Must've killed enough or all of their assault troops by around turn 30 with stable ~100 ammo as the scenario was shown as won. Would be fun to have a little bit of flavor text to add to it - but - epic against-all-odds conculusion as it is.

Ive beaten the scenario on middle dif. I disbanded my entire reserve in battle, to regain prestige and ammo. I also disbanded alot of aux units after I shot down all the soviet planes. When you disband them you gain their ammo. I kept my planes,I probably should of had disbanded them for ammo and prestige too.

The funny part is I did not know you gain ammo by disbanding units until turn 15

This is a good tip, I copped out and just turned off supply but I'll have to do this when I try it again. Really sucks they gave it an underwhelming ending this route but I suppose it is us bending the mechanics to write our own stories.

it is really a pitty that there is not even a little bit of flavorful text for winning the last 5 or so scenarios againtst all odds!
I routed the Sovjets at Spring Awakeing and Seelow Heights. I did not try very hard at Vienna and now I am not motivated to try hard for Berlin....
