However, as I always choose AA Veteran as a general trait, my views are definitely coloured by that. Without AA Veteran, a rapid-fire Flak 36 might actually be more effective than a Flakvierling. If Rapid Fire still applies when the AA gun switches to ground mode (not sure why it shouldn't?) then it will make for one nasty AT gun capable of one-shotting attacking tanks once it gets a bit of veterancy.
Certainly doable to make the Flak 36 a thre at to anything you point it at, few stars and rapid fire with aa veterans. Mine will take off at least half of whatever plane comes in range.
