Campaigns not as Germany?
I love playing as Germany as much as the next guy and in fact I usually prefer it when it comes to world war II settings. Most of the time I play as them regardless of choice, but are there ever going to be any campaigns in panzer corps 2 that let you play as like the Russians or Americans or the British or anything?

That was something I deeply enjoyed about the first game but panzer corps 2 has been out for quite a while and all that keeps being added is more and more German campaigns.

No firm answers here but look at the releases in the past and for PC2. Right now we are in the AO 1941 (latest DLC) so it stands to reason that roughly every 3-5 months they will offer the following year for the Axis Ops campaigns, until the end of the war (1945) in this extended campaign. That takes us through possibly a calendar year from the next release to complete the german expanded DLC campaigns.

I think ultimately as long as the sales numbers are good and there is enough interest they will roll out allied operations as that is highly sought after at least amongst the die hard/old school fans. They have teased this as recently as the start of 2021 so I'd say wait and see. Keeping up our support and interest should go a long way to future releases.

+1
Marco said on the Tea Time with Slitherine twitch show that they're making a big announcement about Panzercorps soon. Is 1942 a big announcement?

Like I said, they did tease some type of allied ops earlier in the year so maybe we get axis ops 1942 + something new and exciting.

You have to remember that when PzC 1st released there was no added content. If you bought the PzC Gold it was the base game and I think 15 (may have been a couple more) DLC. So you could climb right in and play the others. The DLC's were released over time (about 5 years total). I believe that is what they will do with this game. Yes we want the other countries campaigns but that takes time. They seem to be on track to release 3 to 4 DLC's a year so 15 DLC = 4 to 5 years, right on track to match the 1st game. The Allied DLC for PzC were the last few added (about 3 to 4 years after the base game released).

I am enjoying the campaign in the base game so far and the DLC looks interesting. I do look forward to playing other conflicts such as the Winter war as either the Finns or the Soviets. The desert war as the Italians or British. Playing as Hungarian, Bulgarian or Romanian forces alongside German AI on the east front would be different as well. Obviously playing as the other big nations would be welcome as well but so far I am really liking the game.
