Like, I admittedly had Trophies of War in my playthrough, but I still came out with something like 250-300 extra points of T-26s by the end of it all. Also, Trubias are kinda trash and I'd just use Panzer Is instead.
Teruel as said above is kinda just learning the way you need to go about get the secondary done and otherwise isn't super hard. I played it at release so I had a tough time since I didn't understand SCW and struggled but they also nerfed the scenario IIRC.
As long as you get 10 commendation points by Ebro that is all that matters though.
Rather use those prestige to buy more Italian aux...
2 cm AA guns are a lot better against fighters/ fighter/bombers due to higher fire rate.
Thanks for the advice, I may be too obsessed with caliber number...
Just raise a 88 mm AA unit in fact lol
Teruel is unexceptionally easy, may be the result of nerf?
Anyway, got the 3 cp needed to buy the super hero.
Having 10k prestige in bank now, I think it's enough for me to throw away elite replacement and field a full strength of Italian aux in the rest of campaign.
Hopefully I can finish SCW soon, can't wait jump into AO 39.
Thanks all
Absolutely. Teruel in my mind was the biggest challenge while Battle of Ebro came in 2nd before both maps got nerfed.
Sad that this was necessary because many casual players couldn't handle Teruel even on the lowest Difficulty. But if they stop playing because they are frustrated you don't win anything as a developer.... so better nerf it and keep your playerpool for all upcoming DLCs.
SCW have changed the way of playing quite far IMO,
which make the learning curve quite steep for causal player (like me)
Before SCW I never take equipment capture into account when planning move.
But SCW really need it, one can just fight though the whole campagin with Pz I...
With a full armory of BT-5 and T-26 things become more manageable.
Nah.
Alright, I admit, Panzer IA is crap. But the Panzer IB is quite usefull, though. And I only play the SCW with one captured T-26 at most! If at all...
The Verdeja is a must-have and mostly enough to handle difficult situations for me. If I need more hard attack firepower, well, those predecessors of the Stuka are not bad at killing tanks and the towed anti-tank 3.7 cm gun also helps against BT 5 and T-26.
But with 2 or even 3 Panzer IB I´m really great at killing enemy soft targets like infantry in open terrain. Their relatively high SA value in conjunction with their 1.5 rate of fire deals a lot of damage to soft targets. A BT 5 or T-26 isn´t exactly as good against soft targets like a Panzer IB, for their lack of the 1.5 fire rate.
And if planed and used properly, you can often "overrun" a couple of enemy infantry units with the Panzer I, if the infantry units got soften up previously. This way I can earn the most useful "Steamroller" perk with all of my tanks still within the SCW campaign.
My bad, doesn't mean that's the only way to play, just my way to get along with after my failed first attempt.
I read the guide suggesting trophies of war so I try, and I also get perimeter control and meticulous planing, so I can easy pull off small tactical encirclement to capture equipment.
At the end of campaign I have six T-26 and 100+ in reserve...
Though T-26 can't get rid of inf as good as PzIB it's much more easy to use (for noobs like me) without require precious positioning.
And most important point is... I realize capturing equipment is so much fun :D
the whole AO 39 and AO 40 campaign I am maneuvering all around capturing as many Somua S35 and Char B1 as possible to field my panzer army lol
Yeah, yeah. The AO DLCs are sometimes more like a playground than like a serious military game. Too much equipment too easy to capture. :)
